A reckoning is coming… and not everyone will survive.

Review

Covet was so amazing, it almost literally blew my mind with how good it was. Unlike with Crave, Covet had no slow or boring parts, everything that was happening smoothly went from one event to the other and there was always something holding my attention, making me HAVE to turn to the next page. There are so many turning of events, it made for such a good book. At the end of Crave, Savannah was just finding out about her vampire side. In this book we see Savannah go through the transition from human to vampire, with new changes happening around every corner.

Tristan is also back in this book, only there isn't as much of him as there was in Crave. It's still all fireworks and sparks between him and Savannah, though they can't be together like before. I see why the author did it this way, having them not being able to be together, but I still would have loved them to be able to be together. I missed having Tristan and Savannah together as a couple, though they may or may not find a way around it. Can't tell you ;)  So many things and events happened that I don't know what else to say without totally giving something away, so I'm just gonna leave it at that.

Covet was almost 10 times more amazing than Crave. And I loved Crave, so that's saying something! It is definitely not your typical vampire/supernatural/paranormal series, it's much better. Even if you have read Crave and didn't care for it, you for sure have to give Covet a try, it's MUCH better than the first book.

Linger Review

Linger by Maggie Stiefvater

Publisher:  Scholastic Press
Release Date: July 13th/2010
Pages: 360
What It's About!

In Maggie Stiefvater's Shiver, Grace and Sam found each other. Now, in Linger, they must fight to be together. For Grace, this means defying her parents and keeping a very dangerous secret about her own well-being. For Sam, this means grappling with his werewolf past . . . and figuring out a way to survive into the future. Add into the mix a new wolf named Cole, whose own past has the potential to destroy the whole pack. And Isabelle, who already lost her brother to the wolves . . . and is nonetheless drawn to Cole.

Review

I loved Shiver, but Linger let me down. After all the hype over these books I think my expectations drown out what was actually happening with the book. It's very well written, but between the slowness and constant switching of too many characters, most I didn't even really care about, it took me FOREVER to finish this book. It took a couple months MONTHS of picking it up and putting it aside again to read other books, then going back to Linger again. And again.

I wanted to love it the way I did with the first book, but I just couldn't. I was so looking forward to more Sam and Grace and unfortunately there was just too many characters getting in the way of the one story I actually cared to read about. This book just didn't flow as well as the first one. I have to say, though, I wasn't expecting to happen to Grace what did happen, but it did make a good twist to the story. I honestly don't know if I'll ever pick up the last book, from what everyone has told me it's way different than the rest of the series and it was hard enough getting through this book as it was. I gave it a 3/5 for the fact it's so well written and Grace and Sam were in it.

So much for normal.

Review
What a GREAT book! I was in a bit of a reading slump until I read this and it totally got me out of it. I read the first book a while back and I remember enjoying it but I think I liked Supernaturally better. I liked being introduced to a few new characters, especially Jack. He really made it interesting. I was so back and forth and torn between loving him and wanting to rip his eyeballs out for being such a jerk! At first I didn't like him, I just thought he was probably trouble and up to no good, then I loved him. But then when things got tough he'd bugger off and leave Evie to fend for herself which would just piss me off and put me back to my first reaction of not liking him.

I didn't like Lend as much in this book until the very end. He seemed a bit uptight and not very understanding but at the same time I could see his point. But still. Surprisingly, I actually liked Reth. I hated him in the last book, he was just so creepy but in this book he seemed to be really looking out for Evie in a way. It made him not so creepy.

Supernaturally was such an enjoyable read, between the characters, the action and the mystery, I couldn't put it down unless I HAD to. I couldn't wait to get to the end of the book to find out where all the new paranormals were coming from, though I loved the mystery of it all throughout the book. As soon as I out down Supernaturally, I grabbed Endlessly right away, I just wasn't ready to leave Evie's world yet.

What It's About!
Your heart misleads you.
That's what my friends and family say.  But I love Noah. And he loves me.
We met and fell in love in the sleepy farming community of Meadowview, while we rode our horses together through the grassy fields and in those moments in each other's arms. It should be  ROSE & NOAH  forever, easy. But it won't be.
Because he's Amish. And I'm not.

Review

I love the idea of Temptation. It's about a regular girl and an Amish boy, and of course they're forbidden to be together, for Amish people are very close-knit in their community, and cannot date or "court" outside, regular people. This book had so much potential and a really good story line, but it didn't quit meet that potential. The characters, especially the two main ones, Rose and Noah, were very realistic and believable. So was the story. However, the main and only point of the whole book is Rose and Noah's forbidden love and fascination with each other.

I really enjoyed reading Temptation until about the middle of the book when I realized the story didn't feel like it was moving forward. I think this book could have been so amazing if it had other elements weaved into the story aside from Rose and Noah, and then have it all come together at the end, then have something bigger that leads to the next novel in the series. The novel started out so good but eventually, the concept got old and boring and just could not hold my interest for more than 10-15 mins at a time before I had to take a break from reading.

I DID like the relationship between Rose and Noah and the insight I got to see through Noah's eyes about how the Amish work. They are very strict in their rules and beliefs. I love watching some of the Amish shows that have been on tv lately so I was really excited when I got the chance to read Temptation. Unfortunately, the tv shows won out over the book. I'm not saying the book was horrible, I just think it didn't meet its full potential, and could have been a little better. It's definitely a good read if you like the slower books full of infatuation and some romance.
